Roasting
As a light roast, Lazy Sunday is a light roast that is easy on the palate, and then softens into a warm hug for your senses. The cocoa flavors from Latin America smooth the brew while Africa brings citrus hints to add balance. The result is a coffee which can be enjoyed by itself or with cakes, milk chocolate or other sweets. It would complement lemon drizzle cakes and vanilla sponges.
We recommend the French Press method to brew this coffee. Heating your vessel by adding water that is just boiling will keep it warm. After the coffee is brewed, allow it to sit for 4 minutes, this will ensure that the grounds are fully saturated and not over extracted. The water is then forced through the grounds by the plunger, but do not stir or agitate the coffee, as this could cause unpleasant elements to enter your cup.
Strength - 3, gentle and easy going, great for relaxing on the weekend.
Storage
Lazy Sunday is an aromatic light roast that has an uplifting scent of cocoa and citrus. It has a silky touch and a soft mouthfeel. The cocoa hints can be traced back to a winters day sat on the sofa with a good book and a hug from the family. Make sure to heat your French Press by using water that isn't at the boiling point. This will prevent the coffee from becoming over extracted and creating undesirable elements in your drink. Add your grounds along with 250ml of water that has just been boiled. For 4 minutes, simmer then plunge and enjoy.
